"When I feel the touch of your hand upon my life it causes me to sing a song that I love you Lord"
This song has been in my mind this morning Lord., and it's really made me think. How easily do we sing these songs and how much of them do we really take in and act upon.
I questioned, " What does your hand upon our/ my life really mean? Are we/ me, aware of you in our lives in a powerful way? Do we really let you have your way with us, and do we recognise the difference when we do?
We sing, "What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought since Jesus came into my life."
Do other people, our families, our friends see that?
Lord, one song from my childhood days comes to mind. "Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me, all His wondrous compassion and purity. O thou Spirit divine, all my nature refine, till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me."
O Lord, our God, if we really have your hand upon us, me, on our lives, and let you have your way with us, me, then the beauty of Jesus really will be seen in us,
Our Father, we want your hand upon our/your fellowship at Sion. Spirit come down, break our walls down. Let there be no barriers to the growth of your Church. Let there be peace, let it start with us/me. Let the only worship be for you. Let us be united in out love for you, bringing glory to your name.
For great is the Lord and worthy to be praised.
Lord your word tells us to 'fear The Lord,' which really means to have thoughtful reverence for you.
When we have this, it should lead us to having a vibrant faith, and motivate us to act according to your plans for our lives.
Father God, help us to see your holiness, to worship you in spirit and in truth, and to magnify your holy name.
